Google Play Books now available in 9 new regions including Sweden and Denmark

Avid book lovers in Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Sweden can now pick up books of their choice from the Google Play Books store. This latest roll-out was first spotted by the guys at Android Police.

Users across 26 regions in the world now have access to the Google Play Books store, wherein they can purchase the Play Book titles of their choice and even read some free classics like Frankenstein.

Google Play Books is an interesting section to venture into for those of you who love reading. In fact, Google updated its Play Books app for iOS and Android devices only in May this year to allow users to read their own PDF and EPUB files. Play Books app users can upload their files through the Google Play website (play.google.com/books/uploads), and read those across all their devices.

In addition to the changes mentioned above, the updated Play Books Android app features a refreshed design that has taken over even the library, Table of Contents view and the recommendations page at the end of the book. A confirmation dialogue pops up to prevent users from accidentally un-downloading a book.

The Google Play Books app made it to our side of the world in March this year. At the time of its launch, the interface had been rearranged to include a new section – Books.

Google Play Books has a wide variety of books you can buy or download for free. Like the rest of Google Play, Books too has been arranged in various sections, including Top Selling, Top Free, New Arrivals in Fiction and New Arrivals in Non-Fiction. You can also browse through categories such as Biographies, Children's Books, Cooking, Fiction & Literature, History and Romance.
