Google lights a candle to remember Delhi gangrape victim

Google too has joined India in mourning for the 23-year-old rape victim who succumbed to the assault on Saturday. Google search today has a candle at the bottom of the search bar in memory of the victim .

Google too has joined India in mourning for the 23-year-old rape victim whosuccumbed to her injuries on 29 December. Google India had shared an image of a candle yesterday on their official Google plus page. You can view the post here.

The message on the Google Plus post reads,Saluting the courage and fortitude of the Delhi brave heart. Our humble tribute.

And Google search today has a candle at the bottom of the search bar. When you scroll over the candle, a text box reads, In memory of the Delhi braveheart.

Google is known for celebrating anniversaries and birthdays with interactive doodles, but this is perhaps the first time that the search engine has honoured a victim.
