Google Keep gives the website a material design makeover and adds new features to the app

Google Keep is Google's cross platform note taking app. If users want Google to manage all their note taking needs, this is the app to use. It syncs the notes across multiple devices and multiple platforms. Google just announced a bunch of updates for Google Keep.https://twitter.com/googledocs/status/738082817997864960The update ads link previews to notes. If you take notes with a url now, a snippet appears with the title of the page, and an associated image. This is similar to the url preview that is available on WhatsApp. Google detects grocery lists, presumably from the type of items listed. Then, it uses previously used items to give a list of suggestions. The autocomplete is based on machine learning, similar to how the Google Keyboard learns to autocorrect texts. Finally, there is a feature that prevents the same item from appearing multiple times in a list.The Keep web site has got a material design update. Material design is Google's user interface design philosophy and guidelines for making apps and services. It is a clean and minimalist interface. Google has been working for a long time to fix its UI problems, and take smartphone UI beyond what the iPhone has done.  Recently, the YouTube web interface also got a material design update. The new guidelines for theandroid wear devices UI also showcased material design, and other guidelines including not having multiple redundant buttons on screen that do the same thing.The update has not rolled out in India as yet, but we are constantly checking.
