Google Glass companion app update brings remote control features

Google has released an update for the MyGlass companion app for Google Glass. The update brings along a nifty new feature—the ability to control what’s happening on the Glass live through your smartphone or tablet’s touchscreen. According to the exact phrasing of the update, users can "touch/swipe/tap to control the Glass UI through the screencast experience".

The new feature lets users control Glass through their Android phone

Earlier this month, Google had confirmed that Glass will be getting its own app store some time in 2014. According to the company, the app store will be released "when Glass is available to the general public."

Not much about the store itself is being spoken about nor is there mention of a timeframe for the release of the store. The company has not even confirmed whether developers will be able to release paid apps when the store goes live. This is major concern currently because under the terms of service for Google Glass right now, it isn’t possible to accept payment for the Glassware.
