Google Glass can now take screenshots with latest update

Google has released a new update for Glass, which has added a bunch of new features to the wearable device. Starting things off is the ability to "make vignettes", which essentially gives users the ability to take a screenshot of whatever they are looking at along with whatever is being shown on Glass at the time.

Other features include the addition of YouTube videos in search results, sound search, which adds the ability to identify whatever song you might be listening to, and Glass with Google Apps accounts, which lets users log in with just one account to access all of Google's features. This is already working on some services, like Gmail.

Earlier this month, Google had confirmed that it will be revealing the app store for Glass some time in 2014. However, the company didn't confirm whther the store will be a part of Google Play or a standalone store.

There isn’t much about the store itself that is being spoken about. No time frame for the release of the store has been given either. The company has not even confirmed whether developers will be able to release paid apps when the store goes live. This is major concern currently because under the terms of service for Google Glass right now, it isn’t possible to accept payment for Glassware.

Google Glass is currently in the Explorer stage where only a handful of people have received the device. The Explorer tag will be shed sometime in the next year. A full-fledged app store is the need of the hour for Google Glass with the public release drawing closer.
