Google Calendar for Android updated; Gets 7-day week view, pinch-to-zoom, Drive integration

Based on feedback from users, Google has updated their Calendar app for Android and has added some new features and made a few minor improvements. The app is available for download from Google Play Store. The update is said to roll out over the next few days. The Gmail team also added that they are still working on the iPhone updates.Google says the features will come to Calendar on the web next week.Some of the new features include a new 7-day week view which makes it easy to glance through all the events for the week. The new update will also allow users to control whether users want Google+ contacts' birthdays show up in their calendar and also adds Google Drive files to events. Drive will even check if everyone can open them.Now, users can also import .ics (iPhone calendar) files from your Gmail and other apps. Also, users can turn off birthday reminders from Google+. Other improvements include pinch-to-zoom view which will show week numbers in settings.Google says the features added are a direct result of user feedback and that Calendar for Android has "more coming soon."
