Gmail for Android updated: Find out what's new

Google, known to add tweaks now and then to its products, has yet again updated the Gmail for Android app.In an official Google+ post, the company writes, "Over the next few days, you'll see a few improvements to the Gmail app for Android based on your feedback with more coming soon."Among the new changes, you will find that tapping on people's avatars will now let you see recent conversations with them. You will also be able to view contact info and more.It also includes more reliable support for non-Gmail addresses (IMAP). It has also been made smoother to add additional accounts.This is all that the Gmail blog mentions,  but a further teardown by AndroidPolice also reveals options like Unsubscribe and Vacation responder are coming soon.With Unsubscriber, Gmail is looking to fight spam more rigorously. "It begins by using conventional methods to remove an account from a subscription if a link is provided in the message body. If that procedure fails, Gmail will take increasingly aggressive steps to eliminate unwanted mail. The feature has never been directly available in the app, but that will probably change very soon," the report adds.A vacation responder ia a feature that allows to send  an automated reply to those who send an email while you are on a vacation/leave.
