Giphy launches new keyboard extension, sticker-making tool for iOS devices

Giphy has brought in a new update to its app. This update includes a new keyboard extension as well as an option to add stickers. Users can now add this keyboard extension to their iOS devices and quickly share GIFs.Firstly, you would have to update or download the latest version of the Giphy app. Once that's done open messages and you should be able to see a globe icon on the bottom left corner on your iPhone or iPad. Image: Giphy[/caption]According to a report by The Verge, this update can only be enjoyed by users with iOS 12 or later.But, according to a post on Twitter handle of Giphy, this version should be available for devices supporting iOS 11 and up.If you do happen to use an iPhone X and or any of Apple's 2018 iPhones, you can even create your own animated Giphy stickers through Apple's TrueDepth camera technology.According to the report by The Verge, the new update is said to be partly enabled due to Giphy’s recent acquisition of Tapslash back in January.TapSlash had once developed an iOS keyboard which made it easy to share content without going back and forth between apps as mentioned in a report by VentureBeat.Tapslash’s website now redirects to Giphy and its blog doesn't exist anymore.
