Gionee S6 Pro launched at Rs 23,999; it is Gionee's first VR supporting smartphone in India

After launching the selfie focused S6s smartphone, Gionee has launched another handset under its S-series called the Gionee S6 Pro at Rs 23,999. With this launch, the company has finally entered the Virtual Reality space. The smartphone was first unveiled in China back in June.The S6 Pro features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080 pixels) display with a 2.5D glass. Inside there is a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage as well as a microSD card to expand it further thanks to the hybrid SIM card slot.Other features include a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash, an 8MP selfie camera, a fingerprint sensor embedded in the front facing physical home button, a 3,130mAh battery a hybrid SIM slot, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone supports the Reliance Jio 4G network and comes with the Jio Welcome Offer. The S6 pro also comes preloaded with the Gionee VR app to provide content and more.Gionee is also offering a VR headset worth Rs 2,499 VR which comes with a split screen feature that allows the user to watch videos while they receive notifications from apps.The smartphone will come bundled with a special offer from Saavn where users will get free three month subscription of ‘Saavn Pro’. The S6 Pro will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colours at a price of Rs 23,999. The device will be available for sale starting 1 October.
