Gionee F103 announced as the company's first 'Made in India' smartphone

Gionee showcased its first 'Made in India' smartphone today in Vizag. The company's F series, F103 was launched as the first Made in India phone by Foxconn in SriCity.Mr Arvind Vohra, Country CEO and MD, Gionee India and Mr William Lu, President, Gionee made the announcement in the presence of Shri N. The 'Made in India' device is now available at a price of Rs 9,999 and sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution, the smartphone comes with Dragontrail glass for protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor and 2GB of RAM.The 4G smartphone supports both LTE bands in India. The Gionee F103 comes fitted with an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The handset comes with 16GB onboard storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. Along with 4G, other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, 3G, Bluetooth and micro-USB. It smartphone measures 146×70.3×7.95mm and packs a 2400mAh battery.
