Gionee Elife E8 to launch in India today
Gionee has gearing up to launch the Elife E8 in India on October 8 and has already sent out press invites for an event in New Delhi with the words "block your date for some gr8 news." The company is also expected to announce news related to its entry in to the Indian e-commerce market.
Gionee is all set to launch the Elife E8 in India today at an event in New Delhi with the words. The company is also expected to announce news related to its entry into the Indian e-commerce market.The device was originally launched in June in China at a price of 3999 RMB (approximately Rs 41,100). There is no word on when the device will release in India nor any information regarding its availability. Gionee devices are known for their camera and lookslike the new E8 takes it a notch higher with a 24MP camera. It also claims to be the first Android smartphone to come with lossless imagery at 3X zoom. It also comes fitted with an 8MP front-facing camera.The E8 sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2540p resolution. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) along with a layer of the company’s Amigo 3.1 software. Under the hood, it comes powered by a 2GHz Mediatek MT6785 octa-core processor and 3GB RAM. The device also gets 64GB onboard storage.The connectivity options include 4G, NFC, along with other standard options we see in all devices. The dual-SIM smartphone features a fingerprint scanner and dual speakers to support High Fidelity sound. A 3,500mAh battery completes the package.
