Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be a Windows Store and DirectX12 exclusive

If you’ve not really been a console gamer, you would still fondly count the original Gears of War as among the best games ever to release on PC. The original released in 2006 and never came back to PC again, until now.The remake of the game, unimaginatively called the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, is set to hit the PC in March. Sadly, the game will be a Windows 10 exclusive, and will only be available on the Windows Store (No Steam? *sniff*).The Ultimate Edition version of the game is in essence, the original game with a fresh lick of paint. But what a lick of paint it is indeed! As you’ll see below, the minimum system requirements have shot through the roof and the installation size has ballooned to a massive 60GB (from 12GB). Almost all of that ballooning is due to higher resolution textures (the game supports 4K now) and reworked cut-scenes.Anyway, enough blabber.
