Freescale to Power Phones with Dual and Quad Core CPUs

The mobile CPUs will support full HD and stereoscopic image sensors.

Smartphones have started becoming a lot smarter with faster processors clocking 1 GHz or a bit higher. GSMArena says that Freescale joining in on the production of these fast processors that will run phones, tablets and e-book readers.

They have launched three versions of the i.MX 6 series called the Solo, Dual and Quad. As you can make out from the names itself, Solo has a single core, dual has two while Quad has four cores. The level 2 cache has not been mentioned
