Samsung announced the fourth-gen Galaxy Note flagship phablet at its pre-IFA event in Berlin and the Note 4 takes the range to greater heights in terms of hardware and design too. Just how far? Well the company has published an interesting infographic which shows the evolution of the line-up. From the original Galaxy Note, also introduced at Berlin three years ago, to the current one. There's no room for the Galaxy Note Edge, but it has almost identical specs to the Note 4. Here's the infographic: [caption id="attachment_232346" align="aligncenter" width="640"]The Note series over the years The Galaxy Note series over the years[/caption] The numbers that stand out immediately are the weight and processor specs. The Note 4 is 2g lighter than the original Note, which itself was not all that bulky given its width and height. Secondly, Samsung's chipsets have come a long way. The Note 1 had a dual-core CPU, which will definitely prove less than equal to the task of running the Note 4 with its QHD display and high-end components. The Note 4 will of course get either Samsung's octa-core Exynos chipset or Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.7GHz.
