Evernote’s popular "Reminders" feature is now available for its Windows Phone and Android app users.

Evernote's Windows Phone app users can use the Reminders feature to keep track of their important notes, stay at the top of their collaborative projects and accomplish their tasks on time. To create a reminder, users will have to tap on the alarm clock at the bottom of a note. Then, if they wish to, they can pick a due date. Once it is set, Evernote will alert the user about the upcoming reminder – by notifications, emails and badge on the app tile. Upon setting a reminder, users will be able to spot it at the top of their note list. With a long tap on a reminder, users can change its order in the task. When a said task is completed, users can check it off and move on to the next task.cover

Setting a reminder

Android users can add a reminder by tapping on the alarm clock icon in a note. Once they've set a reminder, users can choose a due date, if they choose to, using the date selector. Once they set a due date, users will receive notifications – on device and optionally, via email. Email notifications can be disabled from the Reminders section in Settings.

On the Android app, all reminders are pinned to the top of the note list, tag list and also to the top of the search results. If users want to move a reminder anywhere in the list, they have to long-press on it. Upon the completion of their tasks, users can check it off and move on to a fresh task. Evernote adds that Reminders syncs across several versions of Evernote, including Mac, iPhone, iPad and Evernote Web.Reminders

The new Reminders feature for Android users also allows users to stay on the top of their collaborative projects. Whenever a user is viewing a Shared Notebook or Business Notebook, he can choose to subscribe to that notebook's reminders. Once he does that, he'll be notified about the due dates for those notes. Additionally, to subscribe to multiple shared notebooks, users can tap on the more dots at the bottom on the notebook list.
