E3: Ubisoft demoes Assassin’s Creed: Unity gameplay, Co-op features; coming October 28

Assassin’s Creed Unity (ACU) was one of the big announcements at Ubisoft’s hour long media briefing at E3 2014. The company has revealed a lot more details however, including demoing single-player and Co-op gameplay. ACU will be available on October 28, 2014 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can now pre-order the title along with the Collector’s Edition, which comes with a host of additional goodies. Assassin’s Creed Unity will take place during the French Revolution and our main protagonist will be Arno Dorian. Unity however introduces Co-op for the very first time in Assassin’s Creed allowing you to play with up to three friends to complete your mission. Check out the gameplay footage below:  You can also go ahead with your assassinations solo. One of the new gameplay mechanics include Controlled Descent, which lets you descend at a place you choose as you’re no longer restricted to a hay stack. As always, you can complete side tasks along the way before you accomplish your main objective. You can now add side quests to a quest log and get back to it later.  The graphics look absolutely stunning to say the least. The level of detail, high-resolution textures and tessellation can be found pretty much everywhere. If you really want to be blown away though, you must watch the cinematic trailer for the world premiere of Assassin’s Creed Unity.  The game will be launching on next-gen consoles and PC only. E3 2014 showcased what the next-generation consoles are truly capable of which seems like a good a time as any to pull the trigger on one of them.
