E3 2011: Uncharted: Golden Abyss Confirmed for NGP

Sony confirms Drake's handheld adventure for the NGP.

It seems the rumors regarding an Uncharted game for the NGP (or Vita) were true. Today at E3 2011 Sony gave IGN.com a little hands-on with Drake’s handheld adventure, titled Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

Looks like the NGP will deliver visually

Details are a bit sketchy at this moment but apparently the game looks as good as the first Uncharted game, if not better. And considering Drake’s Fortune is still a good looking game, I’d say the NGP has lived up to its rather lofty claims. Gameplay in Golden Abyss, like both its older brothers will involve platforming, puzzle solving and run-and-gun action.

The game is being developed by Sony Bend, the very same studio behind the Syphon Filter series as well as Resistance: Retribution. We expect a lot more information to come out of Sony’s press conference so stay tuned.
