E3 2008: Gears of War 2 Dated
Gears of War 2 to release worldwide exclusively on the Xbox360 on the 7th of November 2008.

At Microsoft’s Press Conference today, Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski AKA Cliffy B blew the crowd away with explosive testosterone filled footage of Gears of War 2. While the game’s frame rate seemed to be a bit iffy, I was bowled over by the sheer scope and magnitude of the game that by the way did look like a Call of Duty game from time to time.
Before he left the stage he was kind enough to inform us that Gears of War 2 would be released on the 7th of November 2008 exclusively for the Xbox360. Also mentioned were two new game mechanics (that were unfortunately not shown due to time restraints); Horde, a 5 player co-op mode where you and your friends faced off against tons of locusts a la Serious Sam and Riding a Brumak that’s pretty self explanatory.
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
