Dropbox for iOS updated; to support Action extension feature

Dropbox has now pushed out an update to its iOS app. With the new update, iOS users will be able to save files directly to cloud services.If you remember, with iOS 8, the company opened the doors for rival third-part apps along with Apple's default sharing system. This ensured Android-like integration of rival apps. Finally, Dropbox has decided to take advantage of the Action extension feature.This means Dropbox 3.7 will allow iOS users to save files directly to Dropbox. Now, when accessing Photos app or Notes, you will find the 'Save to Dropbox' option.Though the new feature is still supported by selected apps, considering Dropbox's popularity, it can expect support from other apps soon.Last month, Dropbox finally released an official app for Microsoft’s Windows platform. The new app will allow users to backup their files to Dropbox and access them from any compatible device. The app automatically backs up your photos to your account and users can mark files as favorites to access them even when they don’t have internet. The app also provides access to personal as well as professional accounts. Users will receive additional 2GB of cloud storage once they log in from their Microsoft devices.Dropbox app for iOS is available for download on Apple App store.
