Discovery to Sell Content on Apple's iTunes

Now all your favorite Discovery shows will be available for purchase on Apple's digital online music store, iTunes. The offer from Discovery includes dozens of shows from Animal Planet, Travel and Living, TLC, Discovery Health and Discovery Kids for download on iPods.Along with handy travel tips, you can access behind-the-scenes footage of Discovery shows, along with tips on parenting and loads of other discovery stuff for $1.99 per episode.This move is a follow up of last month's launch of Discovery Channel Beyond and Travel Channel Beyond as well as Discovery Mobile, a 24-hour mobile programming network which will be available for the public later this year. Discovery calls this ‘knowledge based programming' and is planning to go mobile in a big way in future.
