Dead Island Ryder White DLC incoming

Head back to Banoi for even more zombie genocide.

If you still prefer your islands dead and vacations infested with zombies, you may think of heading back to Banoi as Techland preps the next batch of DLC (Downloadable Content) for Dead Island. According to Destructoid, the DLC will put players in the books of Ryder White, the game’s antagonist (minor spoiler alert) as you experience the trauma he underwent on the island. Maybe that will help you understand why he ended up doing what he did in the base game.

This DLC also brings with it new blueprints, weapons and several hours of gameplay but surprisingly, it offers a single player experience only. Considering the fact that Dead Island was such a blast in co-op, I find this decision a bit weird. Either way if it’s more zombie genocide you crave, look out for this new content that should be available by the 21st of January 2012 for the PS3 after which it will be available on the Xbox360 and PC a day later.
