Dark Knight writer is creating a Star Wars Darth Vader VR experience

Screen writer David Goyer is collaborating with ILMxLAB on a new immersive and interactive Darth Vader experience set in the Star Wars universe. Goyer has written for comic books, as well as screenwriting for a number of movies including the Dark Knight trilogy, Dark City, Blade and Man of Steel. He has also co-written for the video game titles Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. ILMxLAB is the experimental virtual reality wing of Lucasfilm's computer generated imagery division, Industrial Light and Magic.Goyer can use both the film writing and game writing experience for this project. Users will be allowed to touch, toggle and manipulate objects in the virtual reality experience. The story will be a brand new aspect that fans have never seen before. There are no details available about when in the timeline this story will be placed. The created world has a persistent day/ light cycle, according to a report in IGN.
The new project was announced at the Star Wars Celebration Europe, which is a Star Wars fan convention. The announcement for the Darth Vader VR experience was accompanied with the announcement of the release of a Star Wars VR experience for Steam and HTC Vive users. Trials on Tatooine takes users on an immersive trip through the desert planet, the home of Luke Skywalker.
