Corsair Force Series GS SSDs available for preorder on Flipkart

The Force Series GS solid-state drives, introduced last month by Corsair, are now available for pre-order via Flipkart.com. Force Series GS SSDs are based on the SandForce SF-2200 SSD Processor. They are equipped with toggle NAND flash memory to boost random write speeds upto 90,000 IOPs. The Force Series GS SSDs feature SATA 6GB/s connectivity for compatibility and performance, TRIM support to maintain performance over time, and lower power operation for longer battery life. It's also fully backward compatible with SATA 2. Their 2.5-inch form factor, combined with an included 3.5-inch adapter allows easy installation into notebooks or into desktop PCs. The solid-state design of Corsair SSDs enable them to deliver faster data read and write speeds, which can reduce software load and PC startup time. As SSDs have no moving mechanical parts, they keep laptops cooler, run longer on batteries and resist data loss from bumps.

You can place your order starting from August 12 and the products will be delivered free of cost. Force GS 180GB SSD will be available for Rs. 13,290, Force GS 240GB SSD for Rs. 16,290, Force GS 360GB SSD for Rs. 24,990, while the Force GS 480GB SSD is priced at Rs. 31,990. The products come with a warranty period of two years.

Earlier this year, Corsair had launched its Accelerator Series SSD cache drives, designed for Windows based PC users. Quick and hassle free, it doesn't require drive mapping, re-installation of the operating system or application. This line-up of SSD cache drivers has premium Dataplex caching software from NVELO, which ensures improved boot times and lightening quick file access. The SSDs are compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 and also plans to support Windows 8. The drives are compatible with SATA 2 and SATA 3 ports. The company promises an immediate speed boost on connecting an Accelerator Series SSD cache drive to the SATA port and installing the caching software, included with the drive. It claims that users may see an improvement in read/ write speeds of up to 5x, compared to their current hard drive performance.
