After launching its cloud-based messaging and data solution in the U.S., Comviva is all set to go globe trekking. The company has announced its cloud solutions to tread across South East Asia, Africa and Latin America. Crafted to benefit small and medium-sized operators and MVNOs, the service looks to enhance VAS infrastructure with reasonable pay-as-you-use model. It enables operators to select services, connect to their existing infrastructure and reduce the turnout time.

Vikram Shanbhag, Vice President of Messaging Solutions, Comviva, said, “The potential for the cloud model to simplify the operational life of the operator is immense. We introduced a cloud-based messaging platform for our customers as it can transform operator’s ability to respond to the market – without having to worry about lengthy ROI planning or CAPEX. This would enable innovation and revenue growth in the fast changing VAS space by moving the focus back to the consumer.

It owes the swift and cost-effective responses to the Software as a Service (SaaS) approach that it follows. The company highlights low operational cost with zero hardware/software management, efficient performance and revenue growth.

Operators can pick from a range of text, multimedia and USSD applications. Several techniques will be made available to compress and accelerate Internet traffic using caching algorithms. It will aid in rationalizing costs by handling the increasing demands and optimising bandwidth and hardware investment.
