Panasonic has shocked and awed as it showed off its massive 20-inch Windows 8 tablet with 4K resolution in the company’s keynote speech at CES 2013.

The 4K resolution usually used in conjunction with televisions has come to Panasonic’s Windows 8 based device that is sleek and less than half an inch thick. Showing ultra-crisp images, the device will be aimed at the professional market, especially photographers.Panasonic's massive tablet (Image Credits: Engadget)

There is not a lot known about the tablet yet except that it will have a pen input using a stylus and a real-time cloud-based collaboration tool. The stylus will offer incredibly detailed control and will help in precise designing for professionals. The thinness of the stylus and, of course, of the entire tablet will help with its capacity of being extremely light weight and mobile. The company’s on-stage demo and the video showed the tablet to be smooth and easy to use and the scope of applications it could run very vast.

It isn’t too consumer ready yet and is clearly aimed at businesses for now, but it will be brilliant to watch how the latest words in display technology, Retina displays and 1080ps, become a thing of the past so soon.

Pricing and availability of the 20-inch tablet has not been announced yet, but we’re already waiting with bated breath!
