The Sopranos was one of the most badass TV shows to grace HBO. The studio tried to capitalize on the show’s popularity with the game that was just downright horrible. Surprisingly lesser know Czech developer Illusion Softworks (now called 2K Czech) managed to capture the feel of the show with their open world action adventure, Mafia.

Living the life of a Made Man

Released at a time when Grand Theft Auto III was the rage, Mafia didn’t exactly set the cash registers ringing but it managed to generate a rabid cult following for itself, praised for its tight narrative, engaging story and believable characters. The game was popular enough to spawn a sequel that significantly improved on various facets of gameplay like combat and visuals.

And now for a week, the PlayStation 3 version of this game is available on Play Asia for just Rs. 825, nearly 1,600 bucks cheaper than retail. Grab it fast though; stocks are limited.
