Buffalo launches Drive Station Velocity external hard drive

Buffalo, the Japan-based leader in designing, developing and manufacturing wireless and wired storage solutions have recently introduced the Drive Station Velocity external hard drive. This hard drive is from their HD-LXU3 Series of external hard drives. This device comes with high data transfer speed and serves as a solution for those keen on transferring files quickly and easily. This external hard drive has a USB 3.0 interface and is also backward compatible with USB 2.0.

The Drive Station Velocity features Buffalo’s TurboPC EX data transfer and copy utility software with a 7200 RPM hard drive. The company claims that with the USB 3.0 interface, consumers can experience digital content transfers at speeds up to 5 Gbps for amazingly quick file transfers and backups. Security options include automatic hardware encryption that protects consumer data, with no loss of performance. Moreover, the Eco Manager and Super Eco features help save energy by controlling power usage and switching off the power when the drive is not in use. One can easily connect this drive by merely plugging the HDD into the PC’s USB port.
