Buffalo launches CloudStation with DLNA support for phones, tablets

Buffalo Technology has launched their new DLNA certified CloudStation, a storage solution for smart phones and tablets. Powered by Pogoplug and Bit Torrent client module, CloudStation gives access to photos, videos, music, documents at home from a smartphone, tablet or computer anywhere in the world. Backed by a 3-yr warranty, Buffalo is offering two models, CloudStation 1TB and 2TB that’re priced at Rs. 21,000 and Rs. 25,000, respectively. The Pro Duo model is a two drive bay model, with the 2TB version priced at Rs. 43,500, while the 4TB sits at Rs. 64,500.

Now with DLNA support

The CloudStation enables users to decide what, where and when to share data stored on the appliance. Similar to a hard drive that operates inside the computer, Buffalo CloudStation is accessible from the PC, Mac computers, as well as a smartphone browser. Also, since it’s based on the Pogoplug, you can choose from a wide variety of apps, which can be accessed through your smartphone no matter where you are. The DLNA support comes in handy when you want to access the content from your phone or tablet. Most Android devices support DLNA these days, so syncing it with the Cloud Station is pretty simple.
