BSNL starts offering secured email services starting at Rs 365 per email id with 1GB storage

The email service comes bundled with anti spam filters, as well as virus protection.

State run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has started offering secured email services at Rs 365 for an ID with 1 GB of storage, and Rs 999 for an ID with 10 GB of storage. The emails can be hosted on domains owned by the customers, and the service is meant for both corporate and personal users. The email service comes bundled with anti spam filters, as well as virus protection. Existing BSNL customers, as well as new users can avail the email service from BSNL.[caption id="attachment_4017181" align="alignleft" width="380"]Representational image. Email Solution do not allow anyone including email administrator to monitor / look into any email account. Entire email solution is hosted in BSNL Network, giving lawful rights and access speed at its best."The BSNL email platform supports sending of group mails, scheduling mails, merging multiple mail accounts, folder sharing, delivery receipts, and access through a mobile application. The enterprise email accounts come with support for TLS, SSL and dual authentication, to prevent unauthorised access to the communications. The email merging capabilities of the Xgen Plus email service can be used to merge two or more accounts, or particular folders from multiple accounts.XGen Plus developer, Dr. Ajay Data said, "We have ensured that XgenPlus is secured and hacker proof with reasonable awareness about security at users end. XgenPlus offers organisations to have device level control on which the email account can be configured or allowed, enhancing the security at best."
