BlackBerry A10 'Aristo' images leak online

A day after BlackBerry’s roadmap leaked, an image of the purported BlackBerry A10 has made its way online. The phone will be joining the BlackBerry 9720 as the only releases the Canadian company will be making in 2013.

The alleged Z10 reboot is set to be “the most powerful, capable BlackBerry” release yet. The images, leaked by BGR again, show the phone running BlackBerry version 10.2.0.552 and the model name as “Aristo”. The phone is much more rounded than the company’s earlier BlackBerry Z10, but the styling gives out a lot more Samsung Galaxy S4 like vibes, according to the report. The back of the device is set to be quite like BlackBerry Q10’s.

The BlackBerry A10 will be sporting a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen that will have a less-than-impressive display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The “less-aggressive” version of the Z10 will have a 2GB RAM and a dual-core processor. The A10 will also be featuring separate GPU and CPU processor and a silicon structure like the iPhone’s.

Joining the BlackBerry A10 will be the BlackBerry 9720 that will aim replacing the older 9700. It’s a rehash of the latter model with elements of the Q10 thrown in. The phone’s images had already been leaked and show a massive redesign for the model.

While there is no word of when the BlackBerry 9720 will hit the markets, the BlackBerry A10 is rumoured to be slated for a fall release. The report has also suggested that these will be the only two releases BlackBerry will be making this year – with the exception of market-specific variants of these models.
