Digitimes has reported that Asus will soon be marketing its current DIY white-notebooks under the "ASmobile" brand which has been its subsidiary for sometime now. In time, all of its widescreen models including 13.3,14.1.15.4.and 17 inches will be sold under the new brand. The first purely Asmobile-branded product will available in Q4 of this year. The new brand is aimed at leveraging the same philosophy Asus has followed in the motherboard segment under the “ASrock” brand name. Under this philosophy Asus will sell the notebooks following the open architecture concept. Products under this brand will feature light and slim designs, combining standard specifications and stability. These notebooks will not be part of the normal price wars and are intended for loyal customers.
