Asus announces the ZenFone Go 5.5 in India priced at Rs 8,499

Taiwanese smartphone and IT brand Asus has announced added yet another ZenFone handset to its Indian portfolio called the ZenFone Go 5.5.The handset features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by 1.0 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset along with Adreno 306 GPU which is paired with 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage is 16 GB which can be expanded via microSD card to up to 128 GB.At the back is a 13 MP camera with a dual LED real-tone flash while on the front there is a 5 MP unit. It also feature's Asus’ PixelMaster 3.0 camera app to offer multiple modes including, Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Manual Mode (for DSLR-like camera detail settings), Real Time Beautification Mode, Super Resolution Mode (for up to 4X resolution photos), Night Mode, Photo Effect Mode, Selfie Panorama, Selfie Mode.Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, dual SIM, microUSB, GPS and GLONASS. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company's ZenUI 3.0 on top. To provide the juice, there is a 3,000 mAh removable battery.Commenting on the launch, Peter Chang, Region Head - South Asia & Country Manager for ASUS India said, "We have always ensured that we empower our customers with products that perfectly fuse technologically advanced specs and a classy, sophisticated design. We are sure that this smartphone will help our users across the country live digital lives."The handset will be available exclusively on Amazon India and arrive in two color variants, Charcoal Black, and Sheer Gold.
