Apple has just tweaked its AppleCare guidelines it had earlier set for its iPhone customers, albeit slightly. Where initially buying an AppleCare+ service would have to be done immediately after buying an iPhone, Apple now offers a 30-day limit to do so, according to an official post on AppleCare. However, while Apple gives a 30-day leeway to do so, it also mentions that if a user chooses to buy an AppleCare after 30 days, he would have to go to the store and a Genius Bar appointment. Simply put, even before Apple decides to clear your way to getting AppleCare, it will check your iPhone for damages, if any caused during the 30 day period.

The official post further states that, "Every iPhone comes with one year of hardware repair coverage and 90 days of telephone technical support. AppleCare+ for iPhone extends repair coverage and technical support to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone and adds coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage due to handling, each subject to a $49 service fee."
