It is touted to be one of the most exciting Apple events, so far. The event will witness the phone maker unveil the successor to its iPhone 5, possibly called the iPhone 5S. A lot has already been said and written about the iPhone 5S, which is expected to run on the new iOS 7, and come with improved hardware and software features. Finally, the invites are out

Finally, Apple invites are out

The Apple invite shows the company logo surrounded by multi-coloured polka dots and the sentence: "This should brighten everyone's day."

So, is the company hinting at more colour options for the new iPhone 5S? The 5S is already believed to offer gold and graphite options. On the other hand, the colourful invite almost resembles the colour palette leaked for the iPhone 5C. The budget iPhone known as the iPhone 5C has been popping up its dainty head for quite some time in a range of colours. With Apple being tight lipped about the phones, there has been an uncertainty whether the company will launch the budget iPhone. Interestingly, the colourful invite probably hints that the iPhone 5C dipped in vivid shades could be on its way too. It is expected to be built with polycarbonate instead of aluminium and come with the older A5 chip, to help cut down the cost.

This event could be the first ever, when Apple launches two models of the iPhone. Along with the possibility of two iPhones, we could also see the new overhaul to its operating system in the form of the iOS 7. If the industry speculations are to be believed then we can expect iOS 7 before September 20. Another highlight of the September 10 event could be updates to iTunes Radio, which could launch for US users.
