iBook's got a shiny new Instagram account, and promptly promoted the availability of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the iBookstore. A short animated graphic wished the author of the Harry Potter Books, JK Rowling on her birthday. There is also a video up that shows a short animated clip for each of the seven books in the original series. Check out the video here:
Apart from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, The Girls: A Novel by Emma Cline, All is not Forgotten by Wendy Walker, Underground Airlines by Ben H Winter and Dark Matter by Blake Crouch are the other books and authors featured so far.iBooks is following a pattern of posting three books showcasing a particular author or a work. Typically, these are a simple and plain image without any text, a word porn image macro using a quote from the Author, and a short animated video exploring some aspect of the book. These patterns can have variations though, maybe one set of three posts will not have an video or a quote. The series of Harry Potter related posts is missing a quote from the author, for example.
