Apple’s iOS 10 update rolled out to millions of iDevices the world over last night. While the update seems to have gone smoothly for most, a number of users were left in the lurch when the update process effectively bricked their iPhones. Addressing the problem, Apple said that a glitch in their update process affected a “small number of users during the first hour of availability.” In a statement, Apple apologised to the affected customers and asked them to either connect their devices to iTunes or contact Apple Care for help. iOS 10 brings with it a host of new features that transforms the iPhone experience. The most notable updates include enhanced 3D Touch support and a revamped Messages app. The Messages app gets a store of its own adds fancy text effects and gets a bit smarter. As does Siri.A brand new notifications centre will also greet those who update. The notification centre adds support for widgets (third-party apps included) and offers a great deal of more control to the user.The iOS 10 update will be available to everyone on an iPhone 5 or newer device, iPad 4 or newer, iPad Mini 2 or newer and the sixth generation iPod Touch.
