Whoops! Apple seems to have made a blunder while releasing an update to its Find My iPhone iOS application. The update that looked like it was meant just for developers also became visible to all users, thereby causing confusion when they were unable to login. The issue has since been fixed.

Oops!
Interestingly, the messed up update did not extend itself to iCloud.com and you could still track your iPhone using the website. The update also brought along a new, revamped app icon to Find my iPhone. The flat design was in sync with iOS 7 aesthetics and was revealed last week when the iCloud.com website was updated for beta testers. This update on iOS therefore looked like it was only meant for developers and was erroneously released to regular users.
The issue with the login was fixed early this morning and is being reflected on Apple's System Status page. If you’ve only just updated Find My iPhone for your iOS devices this morning, you will not only find a spanking new app logo, but will also be able to use the app after logging in.
Intrigued by all things social, Nishtha will invariably tweet about you. When not tweeting or writing about the next viral video, you will hear her proclaiming her love to Metallica, James Hetfield, Opeth, Akerfeldt and all bands that go 'growl'. She also obsesses about ACP Pradyuman and South Park and you will always find her moving around with a book. Her focus is on all the happening stuff in the tech domain, and she won't hesitate to take a shot at some of the oddball devices that make their way to our labs.
