Another cheap tab for India: Zen UltraTab A100 for Rs 5,999

It never hurts to have options - but soon Indian consumers in the cheap tablet market are going to be completely spoiled for choice. Blame it on Android, but it now seems that anyone who is even half serious about the Indian mobile device market is coming out with a sub Rs 10,000 tablet.

The latest company to come out with an offering is Zen mobile, that is debuting its UltraTab A100 for just under Rs 6000.

According to the Mobile Indian, the tab which is powered by Android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich), "comes with a 7 inch screen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, 1.2 Ghz processor, 2800 mAh battery, and 32 GB expandable memory."

It also supports 3G connectivity.

One of the key selling points of the tab is a feature called NextGen Tv. NexGen Tv offers users the option of viewing over 100 live channels as well as the option of video on demand.

At present, the tab can be purchased from online retailer HomeShop18 for Rs. 5,999. It is expected to be available in stores later, though a date has not been specified.
