Lenovo has released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the K3 Note. The roll out has already begun in phases from 18 March. This update brings in all the features of Android M like Doze, Direct Share, Simplified Volume Controls, Google Now on Tap, Runtime Permissions and more. The company claims to have sold over 1.5 million units till date.Along with the update, the K3 Note also gets Lenovo’s TheaterMax. With TheaterMax, users can pair the K3 Note with the company's ANT VR Glass and convert content (videos, games, live streaming, Youtube etc) into a virtual cinematic experience.The Lenovo K3 Note sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels of resolution, with a pixel density that goes up to 401ppi. The device supports 4G. The device measures 152.6 x 76.2 x 7.99mm and weighs 150gms.Under the hood, it comes powered by a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6572 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It comes with specifications that are almost identical to the recently launched Meizu m1 note.On the camera front, the K3 Note comes with a 13-megapixel rear snapper with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The 16GB onboard storage is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The connectivity options include 4G (TD-LTE/ LTE), Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS and Bluetooth. A 3000mAh battery completes the package.
