HTC Butterfly, launched in December last year, has received the Android 4.2.2 treatment. HTC began rolling out the update in July for some regions, and it has reached Indian shores now. The company tweeted, “Upgrade to the BlinkFeed on your HTC Butterfly! Android 4.2.2 is out now.” The tweet further states that the Android 4.2.2 update will be coming to its other handsets too. However, the company hasn't mentioned which models will be getting the update. The update is being made available Over-the-Air (OTA).

The update will add HTC’s Sense 5 layer along with BlinkFeed. BlinkFeed transforms the phone’s homescreen into a dynamic list of titles and social network updates. HTC Butterfly gets Android 4.2.2 update

  • Bluetooth 4.0, USB with MHL support
  • 8 MP camera with AF, BSI Sensor, f/2.0 with 1080p video recording, 2.1 MP front camera
  • 16 GB internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card

Earlier this month, HTC had also pulled the wraps off the successor to the Butterfly known as Butterfly S. It was available online at different price points ranging from Rs 52,000 to Rs 54,000, while the MRP of the smartphone showed a hefty price of Rs 60,300, making it the most expensive 'Droid in India.
