Amazon smartphone could have tilt based gesture feature:Report

The hotly anticipated Amazon smartphone might have some cool tricks up its sleeves in addition to its 3D display. BGR reports that the phone’s customised Android software have some cool features that are eye-catching,attention grabbing and impressive too. The software will bring a completely new method of navigating the smartphone’s apps and menu. One of these features will be unique control gesture. BGR says, “By tilting the handset in different directions while the device is in use, Amazon’s interface will display additional information on the screen without the user having to touch or tap anything.” The report further adds that in addition to being a unique feature, this would enable the users to smoothly operate the smartphone. According to the site, Amazon smartphone will have an another interesting software feature. This feature will recognise the text in the pictures of objects and signboards with printed texts taken by the users through rear camera. The software will then convert the printed text, from the images, into a note. It will achieve this using optical character recognition (OCR) and other technology. As we saw earlier, the phone might come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under its hood and will be coupled with 2GB RAM. Another feature that is bound to raise eyebrows is the fact that it will come with not two but an unprecedented six cameras. In addition to the standard front and rear cameras, there will be also cameras located at each corner of the phone. Speculations about Amazon smartphone features are only going to surface time and again until Amazon makes official announcement about the smartphone.
