Now that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is well and truly out in the market, fans of the Korean company have the Galaxy Note 3 to look forward to.

MyDrivers.com have got hold of a purported image of the Galaxy Note 3, which shows the next-gen flagship phablet with a 5.99-inch display. However, despite the phone looking like Samsung’s Galaxy S4, there are more than a few things off about the leaked image. So much bezel! (Image credit: MyDrivers.com)

So much bezel! (Image credit: MyDrivers.com)

Firstly, the bezel around the display looks a bit too much for a high-end Samsung smartphone in 2013. Moreover, the gap between the bottom of the display and the physical home button is dubiously large. Secondly, the alleged model number of the device does not match up to Samsung’s usual naming convention. The leak says that’s the GT-I9500, but that’s already taken by the Galaxy S4 and the Note series has so far had model numbers beginning with an N. And adding to the doubts is the fact that there's no Samsung logo on the device. If this is indeed the Galaxy Note 3, then we reckon it is an early prototype design and not the final thing.

The leaked image comes with word about the Note 3’s specs as well. The rumour says the phablet will have a 5.99-inch full HD display. Other rumoured specs include an Exynos 5410 Octa SoC with the A15 quad-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and the A7 quad-core CPU at 1.7 GHz. In what could be a first for smartphones, the Note 3 will have 3 GB of RAM. Internal storage is rumoured to be 32GB. With all that firepower inside, the software experience better be smooth, and the Android 4.2.2 foundation should help too.
