Recently, Nokia launched the Asha 305 and Asha 311 mobile phones in the Indian market. Now, Airtel has announced offers for the new phones. The Nokia Asha 305 comes bundled with 500MB of 2G data for 4 months, while the Asha 311 is bundled with 4GB of 3G data for 4 months.

Next in line is the Nokia Asha 311 smartphone. It sports a 3-inch touchscreen display, and is powered by a 1GHz processor. The Asha 311 is fuelled by a 1110mAh battery, and weighs 95 grams. It comes with Nokia Maps pre-installed, in addition to a 15-level version of Angry Birds. The device is available in Rose Red, Dark Grey and Sand White.

The Nokia Asha 305 is priced at Rs. 5,029, the Asha 311 at Rs. 7,139.
At the launch of the Asha Touch range, Viral Oza, Director Marketing, Nokia India, said, “The Nokia Asha family has received tremendous consumer response. With a variety of form factors across price points and innovations such as Nokia Browser, Nokia Maps and DRM free Nokia Music, Nokia Asha family has triggered data consumption habits in first time data users. With the launch of Nokia Asha Touch range, we are strengthening our range of ‘mobile Internet’ devices that offer these exciting experiences to the consumers”.
In its official statement, Nokia highlighted that the Asha touch devices are supported by Nokia Browser 2.0. The browser offers consumers faster and cheaper Internet access by compressing data consumption by 85 percent, using cloud acceleration technology. Nokia adds that the browser helps websites load up to three times faster compared to devices without cloud-accelerated browsing, making it simple for users to find and select from more than 10,000 web apps available for download.
Nokia says that in addition to providing a great social online experience, the Asha 311 and Asha 305 have been created with entertainment in mind.

Nokia claims that consumers can stay connected at the touch of a button as well as share files and links across their social networks with the Asha series. The Nokia Browser’s Download Manager feature helps consumers manage external content easily, saving music, video or pictures on a memory card while surfing the Internet.
The latest Nokia Asha devices were launched by India’s ace racer, Karun Chandhok. He added, “I spend most of my time on the road and this is a great device for me to stay connected with my friends and loved ones. Being a gaming enthusiast, I am impressed by the EA Games package on these devices. With these devices, Nokia again has launched a winner true to its legacy”.
