Adobe Photoshop Express comes to Windows Phone finally

Adobe launched Photoshop Express for Windows Phone this week, finally bringing its popular image-editing app to the platform. Windows Phone has been racking up the apps regularly these days as it makes a claim in the smartphone OS race. The app launches five years after the iOS version came out and it's been three years since an Android app has existed. The WP version will have the same in-app purchase model seen in the iOS and Android versions of Photoshop Express; basic editing features will be available for free, making the app more accessible, while the more advanced effects are hidden behind paywalls.  Small adjustments include cropping, rotating and removing red eye etc while one could also control brightness, contrast, exposure, sharpness and other elements. It's basically like any other photo editing app in the market, though on Windows Phone, users do not have as many choices as their Android and iOS counterparts. That could result in a high absorption rate for the app and that's not even accounting for the Photoshop brand name. With Windows Phone hitting many more markets at lower price points, things are looking bright for Adobe on the Windows Phone front. The in-app purchases are a bit like VSCO filters, a few are available for free, while others can be bought through the app. Cloud sharing is possible through Adobe Revel, OneNote, Dropbox and other third-party apps.
