Acer Swift 5 launched in India for Rs 79,999; houses Intel 8th gen chips and weighs a mere 970 gm

Acer today launched the ultra-thin Acer Swift 5 in India at a price of Rs.79,999. One of the most remarkable things about the laptop is that it weighs only 970 gm, making the laptop quite light and portable. The laptop will be available at the Acer store and other leading retailers.[caption id="attachment_4389827" align="alignleft" width="380"] Acer Swift 5.[/caption]The Swift 5 has a 14-inch FHD display with narrow bezels which Acer claims to give the laptop a footprint similar to a 13-inch display. Acer Color Intelligence technology is used in the display to optimise the colours and brightness of the screen. The laptop makes use of  Acer TrueHarmony with Dolby Audio Premium technology to deliver crisp and clear sound according to Acer.Under the hood, the Acer Swift 5 packs in the 8th Gen Intel Core processors with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and 512 GB SSD storage. Acer says that the battery can provide up to 8 hours of continuous usage on the laptop. There is also the inclusion of a biometric sensor on the laptop for fingerprint authentication. In terms of other connectivity options, the Swift 5 has two USB 3.1 Type-C ports and supports Bluetooth 4.1 along with fast wireless 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi.[caption id="attachment_4389833" align="alignnone" width="800"] Acer Swift 5.[/caption]Commenting on the launch, Chandrahas Panigrahi, CMO and Consumer Business Head, Acer India, said, “We are ecstatic with the newest addition — Swift 5 — to our range of Swift series laptops in India.
