Gionee has now launched a new smartphone for the Indian market, the GPad-G3, for Rs 9,999, and is available in black and white colours. The device was last seen when it appeared online last month. In terms of features, the new handset comes with a 5.5-inch LCD display sporting a resolution of 854x480 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with PowerVR SGX544 GPU coupled with 1GB of RAM.

Gionee is slowly introducing phones across segments in India, and last month it launched the flagship smartphone, the Elife E6, in India for Rs 22,999. The handset comes with a 5-inch 1080p display, but the highlight is the sleek design of the phone measuring a mere 6.18mm in thickness. Under the hood, the device comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core MT6589T Cortex-A7 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with light UI customisation on top.
