Available in a variety of colours

The handset runs on the Nokia Series 40 platform and features 3.5G HSPA speeds alongwith a "smart camera”. The 3.2MP camera on the Nokia 301 comes with a host of options for taking and editing pictures. Among the camera’s features is the panorama feature. It also has a self-portrait mode to let users snap their own pictures with the phone’s rear camera using voice-guided prompts, and sequential shots. The 5-in-1 camera app on the handset lets users choose and apply one of five camera effects to their images.

Commenting on the launch of Nokia 301, Mr. Viral Oza, Directior Marketing, Nokia India said “The Nokia 301 is a power packed feature rich phone with 3.5G internet experience and smart camera. Being the first feature phone that can take panoramic pictures, there’s a lot more that you can do with its camera with 5 in one camera app, panorama mode, sequential shots and a clever little self-portrait mode that audibly prepares you for your next glamorous  picture.“

An EasySwap dual-SIM variant of the Nokia 301 is available too that allows people to switch SIM cards without turning off the phone.

The social connect is strong in this phone. It allows you to stream YouTube videos and Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp are also available. A lite version of Mail for Exchange will allow users to check mails and sync calendars too. The phone has been optimised to provide a long battery life, with over 20 hours of talk time and nearly 34 day’s standby. Those keen on buying can pick the Nokia 301 in cyan, yellow, magenta, black, and white colours.
