13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display may arrive in September

If you were looking to buy the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, then it is in September that you will be able to do so. As per latest reports, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo with KGI Securities believes that the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display is scheduled for September. Kuo, however, also added that the demand for the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro may 'outweigh' its supply, since the components required for a display as such is limited.  Kuo, added the report further believes that the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro will come across as an "attractive option" to those, who planned to go for the 13-inch MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, currently in the market, owing to the Retina Display's image quality. He adds further that consumers "will be drawn" to the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro's power consumption capabilities, coupled with a smaller form factor. As for its price, Kuo added that it should be "somewhat similar" to Apple's non-Retina MacBook Pro. 

13-inch Retina MacBook Pro coming September?

At the moment, only the 15-inch Retina Display MacBook Pro variant is available in the market. Months preceding the latest report were filled with countless rumours surrounding the launch of the new variant. A report, last month speculated that the 13-inch variant could launch by October, this year. At the time, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had in the note shared with Apple Insider said that he expected Apple to "ramp up production of a 13-inch next-generation MacBook Pro with Retina display in September. That would allow the product to hit stores in early October, in time for the holiday shopping season.” 

As stated in our previous reports, like the next-generation Retina Display MacBook Pro, the 13-inch variety is expected to lack an optical disc drive and rely solely on solid-state flash memory storage. Kuo also expects the screen to have a resolution of 2,560 by 1,600 pixels, and he said the 13-inch model will be slightly thinner than the 15-inch model, at 18 millimeters. As for the other specifications expected to feature on the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, the brand will use Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics and an Intel Ivy Bridge processor with a clock speed greater than 2GHz.
