HP launches Pavilion Chromebook: All you need to know

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched its first Chromebook, called the Pavilion Chromebook. Don't get your hopes up though, its presently only available in the US and costs $330.

Joining competitors like Lenovo, Acer and Samsung, Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched its first Chromebook, called the Pavilion Chromebook, which is powered by Google's Chrome OS.The Pavilion Chromebook has a 14-inch screen with 1366 x 768 display and is powered by a dual-core Intel Celeron processor. The device comes with 16GB in-built flash memory and 2GB RAM. The RAM can be upgraded up to 4GB.The device also comes with a 720p camera on top of the display, 3 USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, an Ethernet jack and one SD card slot.[caption id="attachment_614237" align="alignleft" width="380"] The HP Chromebook. Image from HP[/caption]The HP Pavilion Chromebook comes with 100GB Google Drive Cloud Storage for free for two years as part of a promotional offer. The device, however, has a mere 4.25 hours of battery life which is less than the six hours of battery life that both Samsung’s Chromebooks have.The HP Chromebook is also priced higher than Samsung's devices.The device, which is only available in the US at HPDirect.com for now, costs $330 which is roughly around Rs 15,960 .
