Titanfall 2 to hit stores this October, might feature grappling hooks
Titanfall's sequel, Titanfall 2 will be arriving in October this year and might be incorporating grappling hooks in the arsenal.
The tale of Titanfall’s birth is an interesting one. Ex-Call of Duty developers apparently quit the company (Activision) during the development of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (COD: AW) and started work on their own game. The game, Titanfall, incorporated many of the mechanics that were to be introduced in COD: AW. The game was initially well-received, but most gamers lost interest in the game soon enough. The game introduced novel (at the time) movement mechanics and the addition of lumbering Titans brought a very interesting twist to the gameplay.Titanfall 2 will feature all of that, but is also rumoured to introduce a sword (seen in a teaser trailer) and a grappling hook à la Just Cause 3. We’re more excited about the grappling hook and its impact on gameplay though. Will we be able to swing around monsters at the end of a tether? How will it affect the rest of the elements of the game? Right now, we don’t have answers to these questions. This information was leaked by a Reddit user named ilovegoogleglass, reports Gamespot. The user as well as the contents of his post have since been deleted. Gamespot adds that he had posted a report that indicated a release date in October this year and mentioned grappling hooks and their impact on gameplay.
